UPDATE: Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? The Sparta and Cashton senior dining sites have an opening for substitute meals-on-wheels drivers. You can be that special person who either serves meals at the dining site or helps bring a smile and lunch to the homebound in these areas. As a driver you will receive an hourly wage as well as mileage reimbursement. These are permanent positions NOT temporary. DINING SITE/DELIVERY INFORMATION
Monroe County Senior Dining Sites – Well-balanced, nutritious noon meals are available to persons age 60 and over and their spouse of any age, regardless of income. A minimum donation is suggested: $3.50 per meal at the dining sites and $3.75 per meal for home-delivered. DINING SITES (6) are located in communities throughout the county. The congregate setting provides socialization and an opportunity to participate in education and wellness events. HOME-DELIVERED MEALS (for those who qualify) offer a hot, nutritious meal along with a daily welfare check for the homebound. The nutrition program coordinator ensures that diet needs are met and provides resources to meet the individual’s needs.
